meet paula  

Hi, I’m Paula Sullivan, the creative mind behind Sully and Vanilla’s whimsical desserts.

Sully and Vanilla started in my little NYC kitchen where I loved to throw a party and bake yummy treats to match.  While guests loved the aesthetic, the most common reaction was “I love this! I want this! I can’t do this myself!”  So I started baking treats for my friends and family. 

While Sully and Vanilla was officially created two years ago, I have been designing the recipe for Sully and Vanilla for most of life.  I grew up helping my mom bake beautiful sugar cookies. graduated college with a BFA in theater, started a theater company, tended bar, studied law and eventually found myself at home with my two spirited kids Timmy and Maggie. I realized while I loved raising my kids, I missed being creative.  With each request, I was reminded of how much I love to create and how much I love to party!  

I became nostalgic about my mother's wooden rolling pin, taking the dough out of the fridge, sprinkling it with flour, and creating different shapes for baking. I reminisced about working at the neighborhood hot-spot, Bowers Bakery bakery down the block from my house in high school and college and longed for the days when my mom threw a party for all of the family’s Cabbage Patch Dolls. With my passion for sweets and hosting a great party, Sully and Vanilla was born!

Our collection of clever treats mixes the classic flavors of childhood with a sprinkle of modern-day fun, added bonus is that they taste like your mama made em! Today, our freshly made products are produced with love in the South Bronx and sold locally in New York City, and online.
